The literary world is graced with yet another remarkable work by young author and orator Ms. Reshel Bretny Fernandes, whose latest book, Light of Education Brightens the World, delves deeply into the transformative power of education. Published by Tanisha Publications, New Delhi, this book goes beyond the boundaries of traditional classroom learning, emphasizing the essential role education plays in shaping individuals who not only excel academically but also contribute meaningfully to society’s development.
In Light of Education Brightens the World, Reshel highlights the core idea that education is not merely about acquiring knowledge from textbooks but about igniting the inner potential of individuals. According to her, true education encourages individuals to realize their capacities, promoting personal growth while simultaneously benefiting society. It is this inner development that, according to the author, is crucial for a better, more harmonious world.
The book emphasizes that education should serve as a tool for societal advancement, guiding individuals to implement their knowledge in ways that lead to tangible improvements in society. Reshel’s writing stresses that knowledge alone is not enough; it must be applied practically to create meaningful change. Education, in this sense, is not just about gaining academic knowledge, but about fostering active participation in community building and contributing to global development.
Reshel’s perspective challenges the conventional notion of education as merely a formal process. She argues that education should encourage ethical behavior, respect for others, and promote values that foster social harmony. It should inspire individuals to acquire skills that enable them to contribute towards building a better society, with a focus on holistic development and economic stability.
The book has garnered praise from notable figures in the field of education. Dr. Rupa Vasudevan, Chancellor of Bharatiya Engineering Science & Technology Innovation University (BESTIU), provided a foreword for the book. She congratulated Reshel on her insightful work, emphasizing the importance of education in shaping not just individuals but the future of nations. Dr. Vasudevan also lauded the author for her unique perspective on education, which focuses on personal development and its impact on society.
